Who am I?
I am a mom of two teens and a full time working woman. I am a perfectionist and therefore often take too much on my fork. I also want to do everything myself. Fortunately I have been able to go for a forest bath a few times, which was a real relief for me, a relaxation from the hectic life, away from it all ... This combined with the essential oils really works to relax you intensely.
Which brand do I choose and why?
I personally work with Young Living essential oil. They give the guarantee 'From seed to seal', which means that they follow the entire process from the growth of the natural ingredient you need (flower, tree, herb, etc ...) through the manufacture of the oil until it is put into the bottle is. They therefore work with their own farms and only with natural means, for example to combat caterpillars, they just use a vein of herb that they put next to the herb they need to chase away the harmful animals. They never use chemical and toxic substances. The oils are also 100% natural.
Tips for use
You can always smear, smell or diffuse the oil diluted.
When diffusing, you have to make sure that you do not heat the oil, because then you burn it and you do not get the desired effects. Use a good diffuser for this. Why is it so important to get a good quality diffuser?
The way of spraying is very important. Of course you want your quality oils to be optimally dispersed in the air.
Young Living's diffusers have been extensively tested for their atomizing power. Due to the ultrasonic vibrating plate, the diffusers are cold atomized in the room in a good way, so that the quality of the oil is guaranteed.
In addition, the material of which the diffuser is made is essential. The inside of the diffusers is made of high-quality plastic, which will not be affected by the oils and so that no plastic will end up in the air (and your airways).
There are a lot of lesser quality diffusers on the market that are not made of this high-quality plastic and where the plastic is therefore affected by the pure oils with all its consequences. So consciously choose a Young Living quality diffuser to diffuse your oils.
To smell, you only have to put 1 drop on your hand and then rub both hands together. Then make a bowl with both hands and place it over your nose. Do not inhale too closely and vigorously at first because the oils are so intense.
To lubricate, use a few drops of the essential oil and then dilute it in what we call a carrier oil. At Young Living they have the V6 oil for this, but you can also use almond oil or jojoba. Usually the correct ratio is 1 drop of essential oil (EO) to 10 ml of base oil. You should never put the oil in your eyes or ears. If you did get oil in your eye, you have to dilute it with carrier oil, never with water, which really does not work and will only make it worse. If you use an oil for the first time, always try on your arm to see if you do not react allergic and do this best diluted because they are so powerful. Often it is smeared on the feet because it is one of the fastest areas to absorb the oil because the pores are so large there.
Other areas that absorb the oil quickly are the wrists and the area behind the ears.
